The Ukranian bass Yevhen Rakhmanin studied from 2013 to 2019 at the Peter Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine, Kyiv. During these years he performed the roles of Figaro and Antonio from the "Le nozze di Figaro", Count Azdrubale from "La pietra del paragone "; Gremin from the opera "Eugene Onegin", Sobakin from the opera "The Tsar's Bride" and others. Since 2019 he has been a member of the Opera Academy at the «Teatr Wielki Opera Narodowa» in Warsaw, Poland, where Yevhen trained with Matthias Rexroth, Olha Pasichnyk and Eytan Pessen. In 2020 he was a fellow of the program of the minister of culture and national heritage of Poland “Gaude Polonia” and made it to the finals of Cesti Competition. Over the past years he has participated in master classes with artists such as Dmitry Vdovin, Rosetta Cucchi and Eleonora Pacetti. In the summer 2018 he was invited to the project „music overcomes walls“ for the production of Mozart's opera "Don Giovanni", where he studied and performed the roles of Masetto and Commendatore. In the course of his carrier he worked at the Kyiv Musical Theater "Comme il faut" at the Kyiv Operetta Theater and in the choir of the National Opera of Ukraine in Kiyv. He took part in art events within the project "Шляхи дружби – ways of friendship" with the participation of Riccardo Muti and John Malkovich in Kiev and Ravenna. From 2016 until today he has been performing Ukrainian experimental operas as a part of the „Nova Opera“ formation at festivals such as the Operadagen Rotterdam 2018 or the Prototype festival in New York. The formation also performed on such stages as the Vienna Philharmonic, the Macedonian Opera and Ballet Theater, the National Opera of Ukraine, the La Mamma Theater in New York and many others.
