Heejin Kim was born in Incheon, South Korea. Already at a very young age, she made her first singing experiences in the state children’s choir of Incheon. At the age of 15 she started singing lessons, followed by bachelor studies at Myongji University with Prof. Misuk Yu. During the studies she worked as a voice coach and sang as a soloist in various concerts. In 2017 she participated in a master class with Prof. Snezana Samenkovic and started to study at the Freiburg Conservatory of Music in 2017/18, first with Angela Nick, from summer semester 2019 on with Prof. Mareike Morr. In February 2020 she graduated with a master's degree and continued with postgraduate studies in April 2020. Heejin Kim was a scholar of the Helene Rosenberg Foundation in 2018 and introduced herself through numerous solo performances during her studies in Germany.
